The ocean has always been my happy place—a spot where I feel the freest and most alive. My favorite thing to do at the beach is swim out into the ocean. At first, it’s tough to get past the crashing waves. They’re rough and relentless, but once I make it beyond the break, the water is calm, and everything feels lighter. Out there, it’s just me, the ocean, and a sense of freedom like nothing else.

This experience reminds me a lot of life. To feel peace and happiness, you often have to push through the hard parts first. That’s where the idea for Beyond the Break came from.

During one of the hardest times in my life, I felt stuck. I was falling behind in school, struggling to keep up, and putting on a brave face even though I felt hopeless inside. I turned to quick fixes to escape the stress—things that only made it harder in the long run. It wasn’t until I sought help that I started to understand what was really going on and began to rebuild.

That journey taught me something important: life can get overwhelming, but it can also get better. Beyond the Break is more than a clothing brand. It’s a message of resilience, a reminder that no matter what you’re going through, brighter days are ahead.
